Engadine Scuol – the region
What? – You don't speak Romansh yet?
Take your first lesson here!
The lower Engadine with its abundant flora and fauna is a veritable gem for the entire region, canton and country. Situated at the foot of the Swiss national park and only half an hour away from the border triangle (ITA, CH, AUT), the small valley is flanked by Alpine mountains of 3000 meters altitude (9,800 feet). Along the valley runs the river Inn, which later joins the river Danube in Austria. Among other things, the region's distinguishing features are a serenity and tranquility that impact in everyday life.
Our visitors mostly love the Engadine for the hiking opportunities up to one the many Alpine summits, but is also more than worth a visit for winter sports and wellness holidays.
There is a whole series of webcams available showing our region. It's still best to experience it live and on site, right here.
